...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM WEDNESDAY TO MIDNIGHT MST WEDNESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...West winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 75 mph expected. Isolated wind gusts in excess of 85 mph are possible. * WHERE...The Plains and Island Ranges of North Central Montana. * WHEN...From 3 AM Wednesday to midnight MST Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel will be difficult to impossible, especially for high profile vehicles. Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected and may be of long duration. Blowing dust could significantly reduce visibility at times. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This is a dangerous situation! This windstorm will be reminiscent of the January 2021 windstorm. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... People are urged to secure loose objects that could be blown around or damaged by the wind. If at all possible, consider delaying travel during the period of highest winds or finding an alternate route. Remember, a High Wind Warning means that there is at least an 80% chance of 40 mph sustained winds or 58 mph wind gusts occurring during the warning period. &&
